Getting to the Theresienwiese
The City of Munich asks visitors to come to Oktoberfest on foot or by bicycle, and from the old town that is easy to do: the Theresienwiese lies south-west of the old town, and the hotel stands at Sendlinger Tor, on the edge of the old town.

How far is Oktoberfest from the city centre?
The Theresienwiese is close to the centre, just south-west of the old town – near enough that the city recommends walking. How long the walk from the hotel takes depends on which entrance you head for; the MVG journey planner shows the route.
Rooms for groups of friends and families
For friends and families there are triple and four-bed rooms priced per person – from €30 in a triple room and from €40 in a four-bed room – and a family room of 35 m² for up to four guests. All rates are on Rates; the family room is described on Family room.
Arriving by train for the Wiesn
If you come to Munich by train, the hotel is a ten-minute walk from the main station, or one stop on the U1, U2, U7 or U8 to Sendlinger Tor. Your luggage stays in the room and you head to the Theresienwiese without a suitcase. A breakfast buffet is served every morning – a good start before the beer tent.
The city advises against driving to the Wiesn. If you arrive by car, you can park outside the hotel free of charge on Sundays and public holidays and every day from 7 pm to 8 am; at other times the Oberanger car park is close by.
